Description

Why do we need to address the mole problem as soon as possible?

These critters are veritable “diggers”, capable of digging up to 18 feet in less than an hour! causing devastating damage to your property. That’s why, as cute as they may be, we recommend solving your mole problem as soon as possible.

Tips for catching moles better

1. Position the trap correctly

Traps must be placed just right to be effective. To ensure proper placement, you must be observant and persistent. The best place to set a trap is on a straight tunnel, against an edge (such as a house), and is the most active and persistent.

2. Season of trapping

Unlike other animals such as chipmunks, moles do not hibernate. Instead, they build deeper tunnels in the winter. They also build deeper nests in the summer to escape the heat of the sun. Because of this, it is more difficult to trap moles in the summer and winter. Spring and fall are the best seasons to trap moles.

3. Wear gloves to set traps

Moles have a strong sense of smell. Human scent is very strong to moles. They can detect our scent immediately without going near the trap. By wearing gloves, on the other hand, human scent can be masked and the spread of the virus can be reduced.

4. Irrigate the soil

Before setting traps, irrigate the soil. By irrigating and watering the soil, the bugs will gather at the surface and then guide the moles to move around the surface. This will make trapping moles much easier.
